These terms apply to every fence we install and every repair we make. They exist so that our 100% satisfaction guarantee is a real, usable promise rather than a slogan, and so that neither of us has to guess what it means after the fact.
1. The 100% satisfaction guarantee
We guarantee that you will be satisfied with the workmanship of the fence we install for you. In plain terms: if we built something wrong, we come back and make it right at no cost to you.
Before we leave your property, we walk the finished fence with you. That walkthrough is when we want to hear about anything you are unhappy with, because that is when it is easiest and fastest for everyone to fix. If something comes up after we have gone, call us and we will schedule a return visit.
2. What the guarantee covers
The guarantee covers our workmanship. Specifically, it covers a fence that was not built to the specification you approved, posts that were not set the way we said they would be, panels or pickets that were installed crooked, out of line, or with inconsistent spacing, gates that do not swing, close, or latch correctly, hardware that was installed incorrectly, and a job site we did not clean up properly.
If any of that applies, we will repair or rebuild the affected section at no charge to you.
3. What the guarantee does not cover
So that everybody knows where the line is, the guarantee does not cover the following.
- Changes of mind. A different material, height, color, style, or layout than the one you approved in writing is a new job, and we will happily quote it.
- The natural behavior of wood. Pressure-treated lumber shrinks, checks, cups, and weathers to grey. That is the material doing what the material does, not a defect in our work.
- Ground movement, settling soil, erosion, tree roots, and frost heave.
- Damage from storms, fallen limbs, flooding, vehicles, animals, vandalism, or anyone else working on the property after we leave.
- Damage caused by anything attached to the fence after installation, including gates, latches, hardware, lattice, screening, planters, and lighting that we did not install.
- Work performed on or altering the fence by you or another contractor after our installation.
- Property line and survey accuracy. We build where you tell us to build. If you are not certain where your property line is, get a survey before we start.
- Homeowners association or county decisions, including approval that is denied or later reversed. We will prepare and submit the paperwork for you, but the decision is not ours to make.
- Underground items that are not marked on a utility locate ticket, such as private irrigation lines, invisible pet fencing, drainage, and low-voltage lighting. Tell us where they are before we dig.
- Pre-existing conditions on a repair, including the condition of the fence sections we did not touch.
4. Workmanship warranty
Beyond the satisfaction guarantee, our workmanship is warranted for 1 year from the date the job is completed. If a defect in our installation shows up in that period, we will correct it at no charge.
Materials carry whatever warranty their manufacturer provides. We will tell you what that is for your product and help you make a claim on it, but we do not manufacture the material and cannot warrant it ourselves.
The warranty applies to the original customer at the original address and does not transfer with a sale of the property.
5. How to make a claim
Call (571) 839-9868 or email at.fenceff@gmail.com and describe the issue. Photos help. We will respond within one business day, and if a site visit is needed we will schedule it at the earliest time that works for you.
Please contact us before having anyone else work on the fence. Once another contractor has altered the work, we can no longer tell what was ours, and the guarantee and warranty no longer apply to that section.
6. Estimates and pricing
Estimates are free, given in writing, and carry no obligation. An estimate is valid for 30 days, because material pricing moves.
Estimates are based on the measurements, layout, and conditions visible when we walk your yard. If we uncover something that genuinely changes the work, such as buried concrete, solid rock, or a grade that turns out differently than it looked, we stop and talk to you before doing anything that changes the price. You will never receive an invoice with a number on it you have not agreed to.
Where you supply your own material, we quote labor separately, and the guarantee covers our installation only. We cannot warrant material we did not source.
7. Scheduling
We agree on an installation date with you in advance. Most residential fences are completed in a single day; very large runs, roughly 400 to 500 feet and up, may take two.
Weather and ground conditions can move a date. If that happens we will call you, not leave you wondering, and we will reschedule to the next workable day.
8. Your responsibilities
So the job runs the way it should, we ask that you confirm the fence line and your property boundary before installation, tell us about anything buried on the property that a utility locate would not mark, keep the fence line clear of vehicles, furniture, and stored items on the day, and keep pets and children away from the work area while we are on site.
